The bed frame is the Luciano Bertoncini Min Bed for Design Within Reach.

The light is from Cedar & Moss, “but they feel like they were made for the home,” says Foken. It’s mounted above a vintage bedside table on the preserved paneling.

The designers placed a Crofthouse LA mirror beside a bureau from 1st Dibs.

The Min Bed by DWR is flanked by sconces from Brendan Ravenhill.

The designers employed white oak to cover the hallway into the bedroom, and form custom doors and wall-mounted bedside tables, the latter by MF Fine Woodworking.

Radiant heated, polished concrete floors continue into the five bedrooms.

The wood flooring and refinished walls are a calming scheme for the main bedroom.

The home's classic red flooring continues into each of the four bedrooms.

“By opening up all those spaces and highlighting things with the light fixtures they chose, and the way the millwork is layered, you get this sense of the geometry of the house, the levels, the ways the lines intersect,” says Paul. “It’s like we’re inside the CAD drawing, or like in 'Tron,' how the lines go on forever.”

The primary bedroom was too sprawling and open, so SHED reconfigured its entrance to be a large walk-in closet. It shares a two-way fireplace with the living room.

The bed was custom-made by Roen Furniture, and the Melampo Mini wall lights are by Adrien Gardere for Artemide.

After: The primary bedroom. Walnut sheaths a wall of closets that leads into the bathroom, where the walnut continues on the opposite wall and behind the vanity.

The master bedroom is located in a new loft extension and features plenty of in-built storage.
