“The rest of the house is flooded with light. It's bright and energizing,” says Audrey. “But when we're winding down from a long day at work, we just like to go into the family room and hang out on the couch. It’s our little sanctuary.” The Outline sofa by Muuto was placed with a vintage marble coffee table and rug from June + Blue. The floor lamp is Flos.

The architect considers this the "heart of the house, where all of our valuable possessions, from books, to movies, to records, are stored," he says.

A soaring tower of shelves crafted from Shinnoki pre-finished wood panels in the "Ivory Oak" color now form the family library.

“Canaletto is a modular bookcase plus storage system with preset configurations, with which our customers can get creative with its useability within the available options,” says Vijayan. You can use open or closed modules, and the cubby features also allow for more visual interest than traditional shelves.
